Since my father arrived here he has blossomed and is so happy that he is being cared for and raves about the layer cake. He is getting stronger every day and is determined to spend less time in a wheelchair and I am confident he will succeed with the exercises he is enjoying and the friendly and encouraging staff members.
Some like a Café con leche (coffee with milk), some like their Americano (straight black coffee served in a small glass) , some fancy a coca cola while others a local beer directly from bottle. Robert, however, he just asks for a Whisky - no ice.
At Casa Klein we like to celebrate. We love sitting around the table in our living room having a glass or a meal but whenever our guests feel like going back to their privacy in their rooms - they just leave, because if their is one thing we respect: It´s the need for privacy.
2018 has been a year with a few changes at Casa Klein. However, the way we do things are still the same as well being and respect of other people is still our main focus at Casa Klein - and will always be.
Everyone likes to stick around Casa Klein during the Christmas days and enjoy the atmosphere. However, Inger and Ruth asked for a trip. So off we went into the nearby mountains and villages. And along came Gittes “Galgo” - because dogs also apreciate a ride in the car now and then…
The sight changes trough life, we all know that, but sometimes it´s just nice to go out and try new glasses - here Gitte is making a trip to the local optician to have a look at the latest eye wear fashion.
The small trips we make during the week are possible for all of our guests even for those using a wheelchair or residents who need a little walking assistance. We just take our time - cause that´s what living in this part of the world is all about.
Exercise and movement goes hand in hand with our philosophy. Our physiotherapist comes every day and trains with our guests. And besides our gym facilities we also have a large outdoor swimming pool with a lift for wheelchair patients, so everyone can have a refreshing dip or a daily swim.
For our annual Eastern Lunch our wonderful kitchen staff served a traditional Scandinavian Eastern menu: Danish rye bread, herring, egg, shrimps, salmon and orange peel - add to that dark Eastern Beer for the brave ones.
Whether a person is fully fit, or disabled in any form, Casa Klein caters for those who want to live with company, help and/or medical support. It’s a home where people can enjoy their life in the style they wish.
