“My mother lost her husband, my father, and could not live at home alone. A home nurse had to visit six times a day and after a while my mother was admitted for rehabilitation. Eventually she went into a nursing home in Denmark".

"It was a coincidence that my mother came to Casa Klein on the Costa del Sol in Malaga, Spain. We had heard good things about the Senior Hotel through acquaintances and I contacted Joan from Casa Klein to hear more. Casa Klein very quickly arranged all the practicalities and my mother moved in to Casa Klein.

Before coming to Casa Klein she was plagued with pain, was in the early stages of dementia and her zest for life had almost completely disappeared. Mom came to Casa Klein on a three month trial stay, which exceeded all expectations. Intensive physiotherapy, solid medical supervision, sufficient pain management and the cosy atmosphere meant that all aspects of her life improved and she regained her good humour and, above all, her zest for life.

She quickly felt very comfortable with the other guests and with the friendly and dedicated staff.. It is of course far from Denmark, but we often come and visit her and have learned that the time we spend together, even if it is just for one weekend, is much better and more valued than it used to be.

I am an orthopaedic specialist and have seen many older people. I often think what a gift it would be if all the elderly could have such a positive experience. I remember often, and with great pleasure, the evenings at Casa Klein, where we sit and laugh, watch the sun go down and cook on the outdoor barbecue with the red wine flowing. It is a good life.

I can highly recommend a stay at Casa Klein, on a professional and, more importantly, a personal level”
